Farewell Sanya
The great, the glittery, and the golden Sanya Richards-Ross has taken her final lap around the track. During the women’s 400m preliminaries at the United States Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, Richards-Ross was unable to finish her race due to a prior hamstring injury. She ran 250 meters of the race before she stopped, adhering to the pain of her injury. Richards-Ross walked to the finishing line, waving and thanking the audience as the crowd stood to give the USA 400m track queen a standing ovation.
Watch as Richards-Ross goes around the oval office for one last time at Hayward Field:

Now as she embarks on a new chapter of her life, we at Trackgirlz would like to wish Sanya Richards-Ross a dear farewell! Thank you for all the great memories and spectacular display of what it takes to be an empowering athlete, a prestigious businesswoman, and a true Track Girl.
