track & field Grants

Program Overview

In 2022, we awarded $40,000 to girls and programs to support direct access to track and field in local communities. Track and Field is the highest participatory sport for middle and high school girls in the United States. Through our track and field grant programs, our goal is to increase participation in track and field among girls to support access to movement, sport, and higher education.

Funding towards the TrackGirlz Grant Program directly supports girls and programs that serve girls in under-resourced communities. Funding and support include, but is not limited to, membership and travel fees, uniforms, and track and field equipment, such as racing wheelchairs. Our goal is to remove any barriers in effort to provide girls access to sport and movement through local track and field programs.

Participation in track and field can enable long-term mental, physical, and social well-being for girls. Our hope is that through our grant program, girls utilize the effectiveness of their track and field experiences to positively influence their everyday choices, and will move on to become a positive influence for the next generation of girls.

2023 GRANT PROGRAMS

Grassroots Youth Grant

Grassroots Youth Grant

Our Grassroots Youth Grant was created to support girls ages 5-18 who have demonstrated a commitment to athletic development and expressed a financial need as they continue to train and be active. This grant helps to provide access to track and field at the local level through run clubs and track clubs. This grant can be applied to club membership fees, uniform costs, and any related travel costs incurred while participating with the approved sports team for that approved season. The grant funds will be paid directly to the grant recipient’s club team to be applied towards the recipient’s club fees, uniform/running shoes, and any related travel costs.
